NeoStrata Daytime Moisture Infusion Cream

The idea of this cream is great because it is a moisturizing cream and sunscreen in one. It has an SPF of 15 - this may be good depending on how much of an SPF you want (I personally prefer a higher SPF). I received this cream as a sample and I would not choose to purchase it myself because it irritated my skin - I think this might be because I have sensitive skin. I'm not sure if it is the sunscreen in the product or if it was another ingredient that was irritating but I would stay away from this cream if you have sensitive skin. The actual cream is light though and it blends into skin pretty easily. The other bonus is that you don't have to apply your sunscreen and then your moisturizer - you can save a step and time with this product!

The NeoStrata line can be purchased at Shoppers Drugmart and I actually saw it yesterday at a Rexall store.

BOURJOIS Liner "Clubbing"

For those of you who have never used this line before, this is a liquid eyeliner by Bourjois and the particular colour that I'm reviewing is violet laser. I don't use liquid liners too often so I wouldn't say that I have a lot to compare it to. This liner scores points in being able to draw a thin line and for it's long-lasting hold. The colour is a bright purple and it's a nice change from the go-to black and brown liners. This product is great for top eyelids but for me it seemed to be irritating when I put it on the bottom lid. Due to this irritating factor, I wouldn't recommend this product for sensitive eyes or sensitive skin. I myself will continue to use this product on my top lid only.

Bourjois products can be purchased at Shoppers Drugmart.

Have an excellent Thursday everyone!

Clarins Smoothing Body Scrub for a New Skin

I love this scrub! I got it as a sample but am I ever glad I did. I used it mostly on the back of my arms where my skin is a bit bumpy and always has been... using this product regularly seemed to take these bumps away! This is the first thing that has worked for me on my bumpy arms :) I also like this product because it is light, gentle and blends into skin easily. I have found that some of the other body scrubs out there ie. the apricot/peach type scrubs are really heavy and also stick to bathtub walls and curtains, making it very hard to clean up after.

I hope you are able to try out this product and enjoy!

Have a wonderful week!

What are you favourite fragrances?

Hey everybody!

I'm trying to get a better idea of the fragrance world. What are some nice ones you have tried? What are your favourites? Which ones get a thumbs down? Please share! I would love to hear your personal reviews.

Also, if anyone has any great recommendations on some all-natural scents, please keep me posted as I would love to hear about these too.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for reading!

VICHY NormaDerm Active Anti-Imperfection Concentrate

Happy Friday to all!

So I tried this product by Vichy for a localized breakout. I don't think I have used a product for localized breakouts since I was a teenager... I guess I should have learned - they never worked then and this product also did not work. I think I was using it every day for a week and half and I was applying it twice a day and I saw absolutely no change in my skin. It wasn't until I used honey on my breakout that I actually noticed the bumps start to disappear. I bought this product at Shoppers Drugmart and I think it was in the price range of $20-$22! Save your money next time you have a breakout and try another product!

CoverGirl Exact Eyelights Brightening Liners

Hello again!
I was recently asked to do a review on a good eyeliner.... no problem! Here is my favourite: CoverGirl Exact Eyelights Brightening Liners. This can be purchased at Shoppers Drugmart for less than $10 (depending on if it is on sale or not). I purchased the vibrant pearl colour which is pretty much black (number 700). Before I start my review I will add that I always put foundation and powder on my eyelids before I put my eyeliner on. This particular liner is great because it doesn't smudge, run or crease in your eyelids.... I have found such a hard time finding an eyeliner that doesn't crease. Even with foundation and powder on my eyelids, I have found some expensive liners that still leave a crease mark... this one does not! Another great point about this liner is that it is self-sharpening so the point is always thin and it saves you one step when you're trying to get ready.

I hope this is useful for you all!

Until tomorrow :)

Natural Solutions

My favourite at-home tips to try instead of shelling out your money at the drugstores.

1. Use Olive Oil as your eye makeup remover! It works like a charm and is good for your skin! The makeup easily wipes off so you don't have to sit there scrubbing your eyes (yay for not causing premature wrinkles!). Another bonus: olive oil is much cheaper than most eye makeup remover products. Vegetable or canola oil also work.

2. HONEY. Honey can do wonders. I put it on my severely dry lips one night as I went to sleep.... I woke up with no dryness or soreness and my lips were so smooth :).  I have also recently discovered that honey works amazing on acne breakouts. Honey has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and therefore will stop the spread of an acne breakout and it also reduces the size and inflammation of the pimple. It also soothes any soreness or irritability of that stubborn bump!  Trust me.... I tried this myself :)

Best of luck and let me know if you have tried any other at-home remedies!
